Ca’ Sagredo Hotel, a precious museum on the Grand Canal

A Stay at Ca’ Sagredo is a privilege. A privilege that comes from being able to enjoy usual daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, relaxing, chatting, taking care of your body, completely surrounded by works of art. Because here, works of art are the stairs leading to the rooms and so the frescoed rooms themselves, with Venetian paintings dating back to the 17th and 18th century; works of art are the stucco, lamps and Murano glass chandeliers, the sculptures and even the books in the prestigious library.

All this is possible thanks to the Sagredo Family, nobles, but especially collectors who have made this Palace, now Ca’Sagredo Hotel, Luxury Hotel in Venice, a museum full of extremely valuable works collected over time. The Sagredos, a patrician family that has given birth to Doges, ambassadors, archbishops and patriarchs, loved to be surrounded by art and culture, of which the palace overlooking the Grand Canal, near the Rialto Bridge, is the most vivid expression.

A building that over time has been a home, a museum and eventually a 5-star luxury hotel in the heart of Venice’s Cannaregio district, awarded “Most Excellent Hotel” in 2011.

Customer reviews for Ca’ Sagredo Hotel

Guests who have had the privilege of staying at Ca’ Sagredo Hotel, have one thing in common: they are all aware that they have experienced a collective magic. The rooms and suites are described as fantastic and unique places where time seems to stand still and where everywhere you can breathe an atmosphere of nobility. Much appreciated, especially by mature couples, is the hotel location, central but not too close to the noise that naturally pervades the most touristy areas of the city. Young couples, instead, emphasize the great value for money, surprised by the pomp and grandeur of the furnishings and accessories that can be found in the rooms and public areas. In general, also the dishes served at the restaurant L’Alcova are much appreciated, and in particular its selection of wines and the wonderful view it enjoys over the Grand Canal.

In Short: a not-to-be-missed experience. To say it with an expression that leaves little, yet much, to imagination: a lovely luxurious hotel.
